Belfiore Bologna is a Christchurch-Based Practicing Architect (VEN Registered – NZ-LBP Design 2) as well as Programme Leader & Manager at Ara Institute of Canterbury and Honorary Consular Agent of Italy for Canterbury. His architectural work comprises projects of different scales and uses (residential, commercial, industrial & renewable energy systems) in Italy, Venezuela, P.R. China and more recently in New Zealand; where he decided to settle since 2008.
Belfiore obtained his Architecture Degree from the Central University of Venezuela in 1997 and holds professional registration in that country, he completed a Postgraduate Specialization in Architecture and City Technologies for Urban Areas in Developing Countries from the Polytechnic of Turin – Italy, in 1999. He is an International Associate of the American Institute of Architects – AIA (Hong Kong Local Chapter) as also a Homestar Assesor and Greenstar Accredited Professional of the New Zealand Green Building Council – NZGBC; a Professional member of Architectural Designers New Zealand - ADNZ and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Building – NZIOB
Within Ara Institute of Canterbury; Belfiore performs the role of Programme Leader for the Bachelor in Architectural Studies programme (BAS) as also Programme Manager for that same programme as well as for the Diploma in Interior Design.
