Cav. Carolina Izzo is the managing director of Studio Carolina Izzo Ltd. After twenty years restoring works of art for major institutions in Italy, in 2001 Carolina and her family, moved to New Zealand. She worked for many years at the National Museum, Te Papa Tongarewa and she’s now running her own business specialised in Conserving Art & Heritage.
Carolina is a Teaching Associate at Victoria University and her passion is supporting the preservation of heritage.
She initiated a MOU (Sibyllam Field School) between the 'Soprintendenza ai Beni Culturali' in Naples and Victoria University in Wellington under the patronage of the Italian Embassy.
Her commitment as councillor is to enhance the importance of the high quality of craft by supporting companies and artists
