Following the success of the 2024 edition with over 5,000 visitors, Club Italia and ICCNZ are proud to host the Nelson Italian Festival once again.

With the backing of the Nelson City Council and the Italian Embassy, the 2025 festival promises to be even bigger, expanding to include a larger exhibition of Italian classic cars and motorbikes.

The goal is to showcase both authentic Italian imports and locally made Italian-inspired products while celebrating Italian culture.

The festival will take place at Club Italia, lower Trafalgar and possibly Trafalgar Park, Nelson, on Sunday 2 March 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm.

If you own a business or represent a cultural organisation connected to Italy or Italian traditions, we invite you to express your interest in being part of this exciting festival.

Please note that Hot Food Stalls will be located outside only.
For No-for-profit organizations the stall will be FREE.

We will put you in contact with someone who can do it. It will be up to you to get organized with him/her.
If you will send products and you will need someone to download them, there may be an extra $20 charge.

Please, be aware that Nelson Italian Festival reserves the right to accept or decline proposals. Any changes or additions must be submitted and approved by the Festival Committee and health authorities at least two months before the festival.

 

NELSON ITALIAN FESTIVAL - Terms & Conditions

1. Site Approval: 

The application must be submitted by 28th of October 2024 All applications will be considered by the Committee and applicants will be advised of the outcome as soon as possible after we receive your EOI. Nelson Italian Festival Committee reserves the right to refuse any application. The payment date will be communicated once your participation is approved. Final confirmation will be received once the payment is made by the set date.

2. Cancellations & Refunds:  

Cancellations received after 5 pm on the 1st of February 2025 will not be eligible for a refund. In the event that Nelson Italian Festival cancels the event, a full refund of the stall holder fee will be given. However, if the event is postponed, relocated or changed for whatever reason, Nelson Italian Festival is not liable for any damage, additional compensation, loss or expenses.

3. Food and Alcohol Licensing:  

Please note anyone selling any kind of food or alcohol must have a relevant license to operate according to the Food Act 2014. Vendors selling Alcohol should apply to the Nelson City Council for a Special Licence at least 20 working days before the event.

4. Waste Management:  

All applicants agree to maintain their site in a clean and tidy condition throughout the Festival. All waste generated by a site holder is to be removed by the site holder within two hours of the conclusion of the event. Waste must be taken away by site holders or placed in the skip provided. Any waste or damage not taken care of will be on-charged to the stallholder. Please note that the Nelson Italian Festival is a No Single Use Plastic Event. More information about waste management will be given to approved applicant.
