This month, the topic will be “The new Privacy Act and what it means for your business”.
On 1 December 2020 New Zealand new Privacy Act came into force. The Act governs the collection, storage, retention, use and disclosure of personal information and will affect all businesses. Matt Smith will provide an overview of the key obligations under the new Act which businesses need to be aware of. Matt is a senior commercial and technology lawyer with extensive experience advising businesses on privacy/data protection matters.
