What is your current occupation and business outside of the ICCNZ?
“My primary occupation and position outside of the ICCNZ is Enterprise Data Solutions Practice Lead at Duco Consultancy, a consulting and technology services company.”
How long have you been involved with ICCNZ, and what are your responsibilities?
“I’ve been a member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the past three years, and a councillor for the past two. Within the Council, I contribute to data analysis, surveys and insights to support strategic decision-making processes and help manage the LinkedIn profile of the Chamber.”
What motivated you to be part of the ICCNZ Council?
“The primary motivation behind my decision to become a Councillor for the ICCNZ is my passion for fostering economic and cultural ties between Italy and New Zealand. I firmly believe in the power of collaboration and networking to drive business growth and create mutually beneficial opportunities for both countries. Serving as a Councillor allows me to actively contribute to this mission and make a meaningful impact.”
What are some of your key goals for your mandate as an ICCNZ Councillor?
“My primary goals and objectives for my mandate as an ICCNZ Councillor are twofold. Firstly, I aim to strengthen the bilateral trade and investment relations between Italy and New Zealand by facilitating networking opportunities, providing valuable insights and support to our members. Secondly, I am committed to enhancing the visibility and reputation of the Italian business community in New Zealand, promoting Italian excellence and innovation across various industries.”
Are there any specific projects or initiatives that you plan to champion or support during your tenure?
“During my tenure as an ICCNZ Councillor, I plan to champion and support several projects and initiatives. For example, I will work towards establishing a periodic survey/feedback process that will allow the ICCNZ Council to focus their initiatives and activities based on members’ opinions. I would also like to help provide valuable information to our members through our LinkedIn page.”
How do you believe your unique background, skills, and expertise will contribute to the success of the ICCNZ and its members?
“As an ICT specialist, I bring a deep understanding of technology trends and digital transformation, enabling the Chamber to leverage digital platforms and tools effectively. Additionally, my experience in data and analytics allows me to offer valuable insights and guidance to our members, helping them navigate challenges and seize opportunities in the New Zealand market.”
What message would you like to convey to the Chamber’s existing and prospective members?
“To the Chamber’s existing and prospective members, I would like to convey a message of collaboration, support, and growth. The ICCNZ is a platform that fosters connections, knowledge sharing, and business development. I encourage all members to actively engage with the Chamber, leverage the available resources, and participate in events and initiatives. Together, we can create a vibrant community that drives success and unlocks new opportunities for everyone involved.”
What do you see as the most significant challenges and opportunities in the coming years? “Looking ahead, the ICCNZ and its members will face both challenges and opportunities. One significant challenge is the ever-evolving global business landscape, characterised by technological advancements, shifting consumer preferences, and geopolitical developments. It will be crucial for the Chamber to provide relevant resources, insights, and guidance to its members, helping them adapt and thrive in this dynamic environment. Simultaneously, there are significant opportunities for the ICCNZ and its members to explore new markets, forge strategic partnerships, and capitalise on the growing demand for Italian products and services in New Zealand. By embracing innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, we can navigate these challenges and seize these opportunities, fostering the growth and prosperity of the Italian business community in New Zealand.”
