Art for a cause: Law firm Fair Legals’s double-impact project

For the December 2023 issue of our ICCNZ Newsletter, we’re pleased to showcase how some of our members are carrying the ‘spirit of giving’ and making a difference all year round. In this interesting article, Fair Legals’ founder and lawyer Francesco Mambrini tells us about the Art Project – a unique initiative nurturing emerging talent while promoting environmental awareness.

At Fair Legals, we stand at the unique intersection of legal expertise, ethical business practices, and a commitment to the arts. This convergence finds its roots in our partnership with the Competence Center for Sustainability, Inclusion, and Digitalization (CeSID) of Luiss Business School, which has led to the creation of an ethical code that distinctively includes supporting the arts as a core value of our firm.

As part of this commitment, we have developed the Art Project, an initiative that blends social responsibility and cultural enrichment.

The Art Project in a nutshell

Started in 2018 and significantly reshaped in 2020 to align with the newly articulated ethical code, the project stands as a testament to the studio’s commitment to nurturing emerging artistic talent.

The Art Project proudly supports young curators from Luiss Business School’s Master in Art Management program, who can use our premises as an art space. This not only enhances Fair Legal’s public image. The carefully curated art also transforms our workspace into an engaging environment, providing an inspiring backdrop for clients and creating a dynamic and motivating atmosphere for our team.

The 2023 art exhibition: Territori Vulnerabili (Vulnerable Territories)

The exhibition recently presented on December 6th, titled “Territori vulnerabili” (in English, Vulnerable Territories), is the last step of this path and represents a deliberate departure from the recent focus on digital art, embracing traditional painting as a medium.

Alice Papi’s artwork, chosen for its expressive technique and staged by Diletta Branchini, invites viewers on a journey that transcends vivid colours and instinctive power, fostering a thoughtful exploration of environmental vulnerability. By transforming our office space, the exhibition delivers a  richer experience while also promoting environmental awareness.

In collaboration with local excellence, this year the Art Project received the valuable support of Castel de Paolis, a prestigious winery in Grottaferrata, Rome, once again reinforcing Fair Legals’ commitment to supporting local businesses and contributing to community well-being.

Through this initiative, our team at Fair Legals continue to set an example in merging law, art, and community spirit.

Based in Rome (Italy), Fair Legals is an active member and representative in Italy of the ICCNZ. If you’d like to learn more about the firm and their activities, visit www.fairlegals.com.
