Carissimi ICCNZ Members,
I trust you are all well and keeping safe during the lockdown restrictions we are all experiencing at some level, depending on where you are in the country.
Recently, I was elected by the Council as the new President of the Chamber following the resignation of Stefano Riela, who will continue to stay on as a Councillor for the remainder of the term. I would like to thank Stefano for his contribution as well as the Council for the trust in electing me.
I have been an ICCNZ member and sponsor since 2014 when I was National Brand Ambassador for Italy’s number one beer, Peroni Italia, a role that I carried for 6 years. In 2020 I first become a Councillor representing Only Events and more recently I was the Vice President.
A little about me: Fluent in Italian, I have been living in New Zealand for 20years and moved here from Pavia, Italy where I was studying Political Science. My background is in Hotel Management where I have held General Manager roles for many 5-star Auckland hotels for several years, before joining Peroni in 2014. More recently, I was appointed Festival Director for Festival Italiano 2021 taking place in Newmarket on Sunday 7th November 2021, which ICCNZ has been attending for many years. I also work representing SKOPE in New Zealand and Pacific Island, for their commercial refrigeration. SKOPE designs and manufactures extensive products for all sectors and is the exclusive distributor of Irinox products from Italy. I live in Auckland with my partner Scott and our two dogs Milou and Maia.
I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities we have as a Chamber to increase the visibility of commercial opportunities between Italy and New Zealand but also develop and promote businesses established in New Zealand, so please feel free to reach out to me or our Secretary-General, Roberta Salamon with any initiatives.
Once restrictions are lifted and it’s safe to do so, we will once again meet in our Chamber’s Aperitivo networking events that are created for our members to meet with each other in a social atmosphere where we share our experiences and get to know one another.
I would be delighted to receive any messages or suggestions you may have and can be reached on:

Cordiali Saluti
